General parking rules
Most of Tomball has no on-street signage. These rules apply everywhere in the city by default, under the Texas Transportation Code and City of Tomball ordinances.

- no parking No parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection. [ord]
- no parking No parking within 30 feet of a stop sign, yield sign, or traffic signal (approach side). [ord]
- no parking No parking within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing. [ord]
- no parking No parking on a sidewalk, crosswalk, or in an intersection. [ord]
- no parking No parking in front of a public or private driveway. [ord]
- no parking No parking within 20 feet of a fire station driveway, or within 75 feet of the opposite side of the driveway (when posted). [ord]
